Is my current telephone system equipped
for On Hold Messages?
In some cases an additional line card must
be fitted to facilitate an external audio
source but in general, most telephone systems
come equipped with a MOH (music on-hold)
port music to which we can connect our equipment.
If you're not sure whether your phone system
is compatible we can enquire on your behalf
with your telecoms provider.
»
How easy is it to fit to my existing phone
system?
Our equipment is compact, user-friendly
and can be installed on to most systems
in under 20 minutes without any disruption
to your communications. If you already have
some form of media player connected to your
phone system such as a CD player, you can
quickly change over to one of our digital
players and no installation or programming
is necessary.
» What should I be telling my callers on-hold?
We have found the best use of On Hold Messaging
includes cross-selling products and services,
information on how to use your website,
promoting special offers, hours of business,
unique selling points and upcoming events.
On Hold Messaging can be a sales message,
an informational message, an educational
message, a courtesy message - or any combination
you wish to choose. More.
» How often should we update our messages?
This depends on your requirements. Most
of our clients update their music and messages
every quarter where as some of our larger
call centre clients update as often as every
week. We'll record your updates as you need
them to keep your information as current
as possible. You can change the voice-over
artist, music style and entire script content
on each update to ensure fresh audio your
callers can positively relate to.
»
What if we don't put our callers on-hold
very often?
Although we don’t encourage our clients
to put callers on-hold, there are legitimate
reasons why callers are placed on-hold every
day. Customers may require information that
needs to be looked up, or they may wish
to wait if their intended party is on another
call or has to be paged.

How can we justify the expense?
On Hold Marketing, like any other type of
marketing, is an investment. After a while
you will realise that it pays for itself
many times over by reducing caller hang-ups,
promoting a higher awareness of your company’s
products and services and inspiring customer
confidence in your business. This is why
an ever-increasing number of Irish businesses
are beginning to utilise this unique self-promotional
tool.
» What are the effects of music on callers?
The type of music you use for your production
can be just as important as the information
about your company. A lively mood can excite
your callers, an easy listening piece can
keep them interested whereas classical music
can pacify. All of our productions include
a wide range of music from your preferred
genre to ensure callers are not subjected
to the same audio on a regular basis. Choose
a style of music that that reflects your
corporate image and we will do the rest.
» What type of voice should we use for our productions?
Both type of music and voice are subjective
to the business making the decision. We
can provide guidelines and advise as to
what type of voice would be suitable but
it is largely down to what best suits your
company brand and image.
